Echo Frame requires an active Apple Music subscription to play songs. Make sure you've granted Apple Music access in Settings → Privacy & Security → Media & Apple Music.
What's the difference between Library Mode and Discovery Mode?
Library Mode suggests songs from artists in your Apple Music library, so recommendations feel familiar. Discovery Mode (Pro) explores beyond your library to find new music that matches your photo's mood.
Why can't I find certain songs?
Song availability depends on Apple Music's catalog in your region. Some suggestions may not be streamable in all countries. We prioritize widely available tracks, but regional licensing varies.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Go to Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone, find Echo Frame, and tap Cancel Subscription. Your Pro access continues until the end of the billing period.
Are my photos stored or used for AI training?
No. Photos are analyzed in real-time and immediately discarded. They are never stored on servers and are not used to train any AI models. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Why do I need to scan my music library?
Scanning your library helps Echo Frame understand your musical taste. This creates your "Sonic DNA" profile, which makes Library Mode suggestions more personal and relevant to you.
How do I delete all my data?
Open Echo Frame → Profile → Settings → Delete All My Data. This removes all saved Echoes from your device and iCloud, and resets the app completely.
How does iCloud sync work?
Your saved Echoes sync automatically across iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV through your private iCloud account. No data passes through our servers — everything stays within the Apple ecosystem. You can also trigger a manual sync in Settings. Your music library and Sonic DNA profile remain on-device and are not synced, since libraries differ across devices.
Is Echo Frame available on iPad and Apple TV?
Yes. Echo Frame 2.0 includes full iPad support with a layout designed for the larger screen, and an Apple TV companion app for browsing your gallery and playing cinematic slideshows on the big screen. Create echoes on iPhone or iPad — they sync to Apple TV via iCloud.
The Echo Engine is the proprietary curation system behind every pairing. It uses the Resonance Framework—analyzing seven visual dimensions (Chromatic, Compositional, Tactile, Structural, Luminance, Kinetic, and Elemental)—to decode the Narrative Essence of your photograph and translate it into a precise sonic match.
Library Mode vs. Discovery Mode
The Echo Engine operates differently depending on your selected mode. While both utilize the Resonance Framework to analyze your photography, the available pool of music significantly impacts the result.
Library Mode
This mode is constrained by your personal listening history and saved library. Because the engine must find a match within a finite list of tracks, the results are highly dependent on the variety, genre, and quantity of your music.
The "Best Next Match" Logic
If your current library does not contain a perfect sonic match for the material properties of your photo (e.g., you have a "Tactile" photo but your library is purely electronic), the engine will perform a "Best Next Match." It will prioritize production style and timbre—favoring the closest atmospheric equivalent over a strict genre match.
Discovery Mode
This is where the Echo Engine truly shines. By removing the constraints of a personal library, the engine can access the full spectrum of global music to find the absolute "Ground Truth" for your image. We recommend Discovery Mode for the purest curatorial experience.
Continuous Evolution. The Echo Engine is not a static tool. We are constantly refining our proprietary curation logic and visual-to-sonic mapping. As the Resonance Framework evolves, you will notice matches becoming increasingly precise and sophisticated. Curation is an ongoing craft, and the engine improves with every update.
Use photos with clear mood or atmosphere. Echo Frame analyzes colors, composition, and visual texture. Photos with distinct lighting, strong colors, or clear subjects tend to get more interesting matches.
Try Discovery Mode for variety. If Library Mode suggestions feel repetitive, switch to Discovery Mode to explore artists outside your usual listening habits.
Rescan your library after adding new music. If you've recently added new artists to Apple Music, go to Profile → Settings → Refresh Music Library to update your Sonic DNA.
